The Grand National is one of the last great sporting events that the nation stops for. Our campaign for the 2014 Grand National festival needed to encapsulate the essence of this world famous event, and raise awareness that the festival takes place over 3 days. The TV ad we produced was at the heart of the campaign and has appeared regularly on ITV, Ch4, E4 and More 4. Not having the big budgets usually associated with TV ads, we had to approach the concept and production in a different way, creating a more real and style driven solution, which would still give it stand out against some of the big brand advertisements it would be aired with. Through hard work, meticulous planning and by working with some great partners on the project - including narration from Christopher Timothy from 'All Creatures Great and Small' and soundtrack from musician Tony Anderson, we think we managed to pull it off.
