We compared three different software apps to see how they stitch the new Samsung Gear 360 2017 footage together - the Samsung Gear 360 app, Muvee 360 Video Stitcher, and AutoPano Video + Giga Pro. Surprisingly, Samsung Gear 360 app has a strange warping and a "breathing" issue on the footage even on a tripod. Muvee 360 Video Stitcher creates tripling of the image along the stitch line. Brighter scenes will have dark bands on the stitch line as well. AutoPano Video + Giga Pro wasn't really designed for the single video format that Samsung Gear 360 2017 provides but with some advanced tricks we found that it provided the most invisible stitch lines.
